abstract The paper presents the results of studies on the influence of temperature on the parameters of the pressure compression process and on indicators of material's compression ability for grains of four barley cultivars (Ars, Edgar, Klimek and Kos). The quality of the obtained agglomerates was also evaluated. During tests, the rise in compression temperature resulted in compression pressure and compression work drop and improved the compression ability of barley grains. The obtained agglomerates had higher density. Tests on the resistance of the agglomerate's compression and the coefficient of the ability to maintain shape, proved that the higher the temperature of compression, the better the quality of agglomerates obtained.
