abstract The aim of the study was to determine the physical-chemical and biological (aquatic vegetation cover and plankton structure) parameters of two post-exploitation clay-pits. As a result of the study it was found that even though the examined water bodies were situated within a very short distance, were of the same origin and of a similar time of origination, they differed from each other in many aspects.
